Renovation Ideas

Looking at the Fiberglass RV website, there are lots of threads from people who have already done some extensive work on their own trailers. This list is in no particular order. Just some ideas I come across that I might use on my own trailer.

This list will grow as I find more ideas.

Rucio's Winter Makeover - removed vertical seem around trailer.
Rebuild of rear-ended Uhaul - some good ideas for interior/exterior work
Burro Floor replacement - posts 24-25 look very helpful. post 34 for window work
Air conditioner idea
Burro floor renovation thread.
Color idea - nice green
How I imagine interior will look when filling holes

Products:
Possible hinge replacements
I read Polar 411 is a direct replacement part for the originals. Post I read here.
And another hinge source.

Round tail light from Harbor Freight.

------------------------
Dexter #9 Torflex 2000-2200lbs. 10° or 22.5° down (would then need new tires and maybe brakes) $485+60 shipping

Flexiride axle (looking up more info on this one)

49" frame width (49.5" currently)
65" hub-face to hub face (63" currently
wanting to get electric brakes/hubs already installed
2000k axle

------------------------

May go with 1/2" or 3/4" Birch plywood from Home Depot to save costs instead of marine ply. Instead of having plywood pieces butt up against each other, I'm thinking to put in a scarf to make it stronger

Find welder to build new frame.

etrailer items:
hitch receiver to be welded on
Stabilizer Jacks, one on all four corners, w/handle to lift them
7" electric brakes
7" hub/drum 4 on 4"
A-frame coupler, same style as currently used.
